This was the first time to Rixos Magawish, but far not the first time to hotels of such a premium class in Egypt. For my opinion, it's fair to compare it with the hotel of the same network - Rixos Sharm El Sheikh.

Sure, if it will be your first hotel of such class or/and your first Rixos in Egypt, your stay will be perfect at all.

But if you are experienced or want to choose best fitting to you between top tier Egyptian hotels, you are welcome to read further.

Here are the differences.

Magawish is the hotel you want to go with your small children, or if you want calm and relaxing staying.

Rixos Sharm El Sheikh is adult only, neighbouring Rixos Seagate is adapted for children, but "sea has very long gate". In Seagate they offer instead of the sea their own aquapark for children.

So, here is my "water" conclusion

- Magawish has the best seashore and the beach I have ever seen on the Red sea, you will prefer to be in the sea most of the daytime here. But it has no corals and fish at all. Not so deep to worry about your children and safe for them. Bottom of the sea and the beach is covered with sand fully. If you want to see corals and fish, you need to order own Rixos boat for snorkeling or diving. You can agree that for most of people you don't need everyday corals and fish-seeing. Ones per stay is enough. Pools, they have them, but you even don't need them with such a perfect seashore. No aquapark, but also you will have no need - not for everyday activity for my opinion.

- Rixos Sharm El Sheikh and Rixos Seagate have a corals on the seashore, so you will not be able to swim or take a cooling after the sun directly from the beach. They have pontoons, but they are quite a long, expecially at Seagate hotel where you have even shuttles at your service to reach the end of pontoon. Yeah, they have a reach underwater fish world. Very beautiful, but also a very deep sea rapidly. Often they have a red flag up to noon and it's forbidden to swim at this time. So, it makes swimming in the sea no more then once per day entertainment

and your children will have no ability to swim in the sea at all if you prefer their safety. Knowing this they offer luxury big main pool at Sharm El Sheikh and Aquapark at Seagate. Pools at Seagate are not so perfect as at Sharm El Sheikh.

So, at Rixos Sharm El Sheikh you will prefer to stay at the main pool most of the daytime instead of the sea. At Seagate really they have no strong side on this matter.

Entertainment.

As I mentioned before, Sharm El Sheikh is adult only. And if you have no children or not prefer calm and quiet staying, the best option is Sharm El Sheikh. Their entertainment programme is very good and of a high quality. Starting at pools at daytime, any standard sports activities, proceeding at evenings with a shows and DJ sets. You can find entertainment even after midnight. At Magawish and Seagate entertainment is not a strong side. Yes, they have the same programme as a Rixos high standard, but mostly for a checkmark that they have it. Not as talented dancers, singers, musicians, DJs as at Rixos Sharm El Sheikh. Programme ends at 22.30-23.00 at hotel becomes silent. Without strong entertainment programme staying at Magawish becomes like a groundhog day after the 5th day of staying. 7 days is enough for staying at Magawish, longer staying becomes boring.

Rooms.

Rooms and room service is on very high quality at any Rixos hotels. Magawish rooms and villas are bigger than at other competitors. They are clean and smart designed. Only to mention, that our Lotus Garden View room was the only one with a real wide direct sea view from the terrace in comparison with the other hotels. If it's valuable for you, choose any of Lotus apartments at 40 or 44 buildings, 2nd or 3rd floor, or suits at the main pool (01 buildings). Even the biggest premium villas have no sea view.

Food and general quality of service.

Exceptional at any Rixos hotels. It's a strong side for vast variety of dishes, very tasty, available at any time, no limits. The same is applicable to any beverages. For example, we used to eat fresh salmon at the breakfast, drink mango fresh. All of this is available at any time you want at breakfast. Service of personal is excellent at any Rixos hotels also. Rixos network has the same naming of a la carte restaurants, including Seafood, Asian, Turkish, European and Brazilian.

Children entertainment. At Magawish they have a kindergarten with animation, have a green maze.

Other activities. The same Rixos network of Anjana spa centers, including hamam and gym. Massage and individual spa programmes are on additional costs. They have tennis courts. Some unique options are organic farm - they have it only for checkmark, seems ugly, and they have stables with horses. Pretty nice to see onces per staying, especially nice rabbits in the nature, not in cages.

To resume, Magawish is a perfect place for staying with children, with a perfect seashore, beach, high service standards, perfect food and beverages, but not so strong entertainment and pools. For calm, quiet and relaxing staying.
