We’ve just returned from a week-long stay at the Park Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort, and overall, it was a wonderful family holiday with a few minor hiccups.

### First Impressions

We arrived late in the evening and were warmly greeted by reception staff who quickly got us checked in. The welcome drink was a nice touch after a long day of travel with the kids. The resort itself is beautifully laid out—very spacious, with tropical gardens, waterfalls, and stunning views over the Red Sea. It definitely had that "wow" factor as soon as we arrived.

### The Rooms

We stayed in two interconnecting rooms which were clean and comfortable, though we would say they are starting to look a little tired. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were a bit dated, and our air conditioning was a little noisy—but nothing major. Housekeeping did a great job each day, and the towel animals were a hit with the kids!

### Food & Drink

The food options were great overall. The buffet had a decent variety, and there were themed nights which kept it interesting. The kids loved the pasta station and the fresh fruit. We tried the Italian à la carte restaurant one evening, which was lovely but needed to be booked in advance. The snack bars near the pool were very handy for light bites and ice creams throughout the day.

### Activities & Entertainment

This was a real highlight for us. The pools were fantastic—especially the kids’ pool with the slides—and the adults-only pool offered a bit of quiet time when we could take turns relaxing. The beach was just a few minutes' walk away, and the snorkeling was some of the best we’ve seen. Even our 10-year-old managed to spot colourful fish right off the jetty!

Evening entertainment varied each night and included live music, dancing, and shows. Some of it was a bit loud for younger ones, but generally it was good fun and well-organised.

### Staff

The staff were brilliant. Always friendly and helpful, especially with the children. A special mention to Mustafa at the pool bar and Azza from the kids’ club—both went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. The animation team were full of energy and really good at getting guests involved without being too pushy.

### Things That Could Improve

* Some areas of the hotel could do with a refresh, especially the rooms.

* Occasionally there were delays in service when the resort was busy.

* More shade around the pool areas would be helpful, especially in the midday heat.

### Final Thoughts

As a family of four (with kids aged 10 and 7), we had a fantastic time. There was plenty to do for all ages, the resort felt very safe, and the atmosphere was relaxed. We left with great memories and a promise to come back—maybe with grandparents next time!
