Very good!
After spending several days at the Marlin Inn Azur Resort in Hurghada, I can say that this hotel truly offers plenty of advantages, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable, mid-range option for a vacation. First of all, the location is one of its key strengths: the hotel is practically on the first coastline of the Red Sea, and nearby there is a picturesque promenade with cafés, shops, and souvenir stalls.
The hotel’s territory is fairly compact, which makes the stay more peaceful — there isn’t too much noise, unlike in very large resort complexes. There is an outdoor pool, sunbeds, umbrellas, and also a private sandy beach with a wooden pathway leading into the sea. The entrance to the water is sandy, which is especially convenient for families with children.
As for the rooms, they are quite spacious: there are standard rooms, options with sea or pool views, and several Junior Suites. The furniture in most rooms is functional, and each includes a balcony or terrace, a minibar, a safe, air conditioning, a TV, and even a hairdryer in the bathroom. Cleaning is done daily, and bed linens and towels are changed regularly.
The dining experience is another pleasant part of the stay: the all-inclusive system provides meals in the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a snack bar on the beach. There is also an à la carte restaurant — the Italian Piccola Venezia, where you can enjoy one complimentary dinner during your stay if you book in advance. The food is generally varied, although some guests note that the menu can repeat and certain dishes may not appeal to everyone. There is a children’s buffet available, along with the Nemo Kids Club (ages 4–12).
Service is probably the strongest aspect of the hotel. Many visitors mention the very friendly staff who genuinely try to make the stay pleasant. Guests often note the helpfulness of the reception team, bartenders, and animators. Evening entertainment, shows, contests, and small discos add liveliness even to such a calm hotel.
Regarding infrastructure, the hotel is not overly luxurious, but it matches its 3–4 star level: there is a spa center (for an additional fee), a fitness area, a conference room, and several relaxation zones. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas.
Among the downsides guests sometimes mention: although the beach is present, the shoreline is rather narrow and the beach area is small. Some travelers note that sunbeds and mattresses show signs of wear. There are also occasional remarks about the food being repetitive — the buffet menu may remain similar from day to day.
Room cleanliness is generally at a good level, though some guests wished for more thorough daily cleaning. If you value peace and moderate comfort, Marlin Inn Azur Resort is genuinely a good choice. It suits both families and those looking for a quiet getaway. For travelers who prefer grand, luxurious resorts, it may feel basic — but this is part of its charm: friendly service, convenient location, and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere without unnecessary pretentiousness.
Overall, I recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy a seaside vacation without overpaying for luxury and prefer comfort, friendliness, and a calm, cozy environment.
