A decent hotel
My husband and I just got back from a stay at the Regina Resort & Aqua Park, and honestly, we need a vacation from our vacation—in the best possible way! If you want a place where relaxation meets an accidental fitness boot camp, this is it. Here is our honest, slightly caffeinated take on how it went: 📍 Location & Vibe. The hotel is right in the heart of the Hurghada Marina area, which is super convenient if you want to escape the resort walls and walk around. The grounds are actually really green and well-kept. Every morning, we watched gardeners lovingly water every single leaf while we debated whether walking to the restaurant counted as our morning workout. Spoiler: It did. 🎭 Animation & Entertainment. The animation team has the energy of golden retrievers fueled by espresso. They try very hard to get everyone dancing, playing darts, or doing yoga. {удалено модератором: несанкционированная реклама} 🛏️ The Room. We booked a standard room. It wasn’t the Ritz, but it had everything we needed: a bed that didn't break our backs, air conditioning that worked like a little angry arctic penguin, and a balcony where we stood every evening pretending we were sophisticated travel bloggers. Housekeeping even folded towels into swans. Well, we think it was a swan—it might have also been an aggressive-looking duck, but we appreciated the effort! 🍽️ Food & Drinks (The Battle of the Buffet). Let’s talk about food. You will not starve, but your willpower will be tested. Breakfast: Standard eggs, pastries, and coffee that gives you enough jitters to run a marathon. Lunch & Dinner: Lots of variety, chicken, beef, rice, and salads. My husband made it his personal mission to try every single dessert. By day four, he was 50% sponge cake. The Bars: The bartenders work fast, though sometimes the plastic cups are smaller than a shot glass, making you feel like a giant at a doll tea party. Pro tip: tipping a dollar on day one completely transforms your relationship with the cocktail bar. Suddenly, you get double mint in your mojito and actual smiles! 🏊 Pools & Aqua Park. The aqua park is fun—mostly because watching grown adults scream on waterslides never gets old. My husband tried the fast yellow slide and came out looking like he had just survived a shipwreck, coughing up pool water and laughing hysterically. The main pool is great for floating around with a drink in hand while pretending you can’t hear the animation team trying to drag you into water aerobics. 🐠 The Beach & Red Sea. This is where the hotel completely redeems itself. The beach is lovely, and the Red Sea right off their shore is gorgeous. Put on a snorkel, and you’re instantly swimming with colorful fish that look like they belong in a cartoon. We spent hours out there, mostly because floating in salt water requires zero effort, which matched our vacation energy levels perfectly. Final Verdict. Would we go back? Honestly, yes! Regina Resort isn't a luxury ultra-all-inclusive palace, but it has charm, a fantastic location, great sea life, and a very honest price tag. If you come with a good sense of humor, low expectations for gourmet Michelin-star dining, and patience, you’ll have an absolute blast—just like we did.
