We had an interesting and nice vacation at Mirage bay. According to the reviews, we were expecting a complete disaster, but it was definitely not as bad as some write here. The hotel does not have seven stars, nor five, so no miracles can be expected. You can't take all the reviews seriously, because a hundred people have a hundred tastes, and of course your entire vacation depends on that. We came here thinking we wanted to enjoy a cheap all inclusive and that's what happened.

The hotel is very big. There is an older water park right next to the main gate. The slides are not bad at all, they just need a little more maintenance. You can definitely see that the hotel has already done something, so definitely don't expect a luxurious lobby. But it's nothing terrible and if you're really not a demanding hiker, you'll like it here and enjoy it. There is a main bar right next to the lobby, where there is really a lot of seating. There is even a television where the popular football game is broadcast every day. The bar is classically open until 11 o'clock, after which no one will pour you any more.

The restaurant is modest, if you stay here for a long time, you will definitely notice that the selection of food does not change that much and everything is quite repetitive. You won't find themed evenings here. Neither does the seafood selection. At least some filet once in a while definitely wouldn't hurt. French fries could be a choice for lunch every day. Or as a snack at a beach bar, that would be a big show and definitely welcomed by everyone. We really liked the breakfast. They had very good omelettes and pancakes. Right after that there was some sweet snack to go with the coffee and then there was homemade pizza every noon before lunch. It's not like a classic pizza dough, it's more of a sweet and salty pie, because in Egypt all pastries are sweet. But it tasted good. In the afternoon, once every two days there was a special festival with food, mainly fruit. It was really excellent here. It will definitely be much better in the season.
