A trip that left a mark on the soul

It was true summer — the kind from childhood, when days drift unhurriedly and the air is thick with happiness. The hotel surprised not just with air conditioning in the lobby but with a heartfelt welcome at reception. The guys at the front desk are great: they checked us in quickly, showed us different rooms. No stiff formality, just a genuine desire to help. A few minutes — and we were already settled, feeling as if we’d visited old friends.

The rest of the staff — a whole other story. Everything was wonderful, everything was perfect. The waiters remembered every little detail. And it wasn’t that pushy “all‑inclusive” service, but something like homely warmth. The pool cleaners silently and promptly took away towels, the gardeners bowed politely when you walked around freshly watered flowerbeds. In every gesture you felt not “we’re working” but “we’re glad you’re here.”

The atmosphere at the hotel — like a pendulum between coziness and openness. By the pool during the day there’s a soft hum: someone reading, someone dozing on a lounger, children laughing on the slide. In the evening lanterns light up on the terrace, and the whole hotel turns into an open‑air living room. At dinner — quiet live music, not a trace of loud discos, just the sound of a saxophone and the clink of glasses.

And of course, the weather. The sun here doesn’t burn, it caresses — soft, silky, truly Mediterranean. The sea was so warm you stepped into it like a bath, yet a light breeze took away the stickiness. The summer was ideal: not a single rainy day, but no scorching heat either. Every morning began with a golden sunrise and ended with a lilac‑pink sunset, best watched from a lounger on the hotel pier.
