From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the style. Unlike the massive concrete blocks you often see, Arabella Azur looks like a gorgeous, sun-drenched Nubian-style village. Everything is built in warm terracotta and cream tones, winding pathways, arches, and cozy corners covered in bougainvillea. The resort sits right on a gorgeous lagoon opening up to the Red Sea. We booked a standard room with a pool view, but waking up to the sound of the gentle waves and being just a two-minute walk from the beach made it feel so much more intimate. The gardens are impeccably maintained—you can tell the gardeners take real pride in the lush green lawns and palm trees. 🍽️ Food & Dining. We were genuinely impressed with the food, especially considering how picky my husband can sometimes be! The Main Restaurant (El Borg): Offered a massive variety every single day. We loved the themed dinner nights (the Oriental night with freshly grilled kofta and local mezze was a huge highlight). The À La Carte Options: We managed to book a dinner at the Italian restaurant on-site, which was a lovely, romantic change of pace with candlelit tables right by the water. Check-in was smooth, and even though we arrived quite late in the evening around 10 PM, the front desk made sure we were still sent to the late-night snack station so we wouldn't go to sleep hungry.
