White Pearl Villa

White Pearl Villa is a sleek 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom villa that sleeps up to 6 persons and is one of two completely independent and distinctly differently styled luxury villas known as the Elounda Pearl Villas.

Built on a hill overlooking the bay of Elounda on the north east coast in the Lassithi region of Crete this superb villa stands with Black Pearl Villa on 2000m² of land and is 300mt from the waters edge.

The villa is just 4km away from the centre of Elounda, one of the most famous resorts in Greece. Sitting in a magnificent position overlooking the picturesque Gulf of Mirabello Elounda has over the years gained the reputation as an exclusive resort with luxury facilities on hand in a refined atmosphere not readily found in many other resorts. It has become a favourite holiday destination for world famous celebrities and artists as well as political leaders and is home to some of Crete's finest hotels and villas.

The heart of Elounda remains a fishing village with a pretty harbour. Magnificent views are to be had of the Gulf of Mirabello and the stone built windmills that reach as far as the Alykes (salt-pans). Most of the luxury accommodation is scattered around the village outskirts and surrounding hillsides. It takes its name from ancient Olous which was built a kilometre away and was the chosen place of legendary Minoan figures of the past but today is singled out by historical figures of the present. Olous flourished during the first Byzantine period and ranked among the most important one-hundred cities of ancient Crete.

The small and famous island of Spinalonga is a short distance from Elounda and in ancient times it used to guard the port of Olous. However, in 1903 it became a leper colony and remained so until 1957 when it became the last of its kind in Europe to close its doors. It has been mentioned in several novels and was fore fronted again recently in the book The Island by award winning writer Victoria Hislop. It can easily be visited by a short boat trip from Elounda or neighbouring Plaka.

Ag. Nikolaos with its lakeside restaurants and café bars is only 7km away.

ACCOMMODATION

The sleek villa measures a huge 265m² and boasts furniture of the highest quality. Views from the infinity pool and the living room are amazing in this sleek villa where you can experience the perfect balance between ultimate luxury and the comfort of your own home. Both modern and traditional materials have been used in its design.

The master bedroom on the upper floor has a Jacuzzi with windows to either side of it that have breath taking views to the sea. A bathroom and a dressing room are also featured on this floor.

On the ground floor there are two spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds (that can easily be made up into a double bed). These bedrooms share a bathroom with a double Jacuzzi shower and there is a separate WC. Also on the ground floor is a generously sized living room with a fireplace, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with a patio to the front that is perfect for admiring those sunset moments. There is also a separate fully equipped studio with a double bed, while the games room has a billiard table, TV, Playstation3, and a gym. Other features include sat TV, CD and DVD player, safe, PC with Wi-fi, MP3 player, laundry room and parking. The villa is air conditioned throughout.

OUTDOORS

Outdoors enjoys a wonderful 700m² where there is a private infinity pool (4mt x 11mt/depth 1.5mt) with walk-in steps and a wooden decked sun terrace with stunning views of the landscape. There is also an outdoor dining table for al fresco dining, comfortable sun beds, umbrellas, a hammock, gas BBQ, a lawn and a shrubbery.

Anyone interested in water sports will be delighted to know that the villa owner has a water sports centre.
