Anastasia Villa

Villa Anastasia is a stylish 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa sleeping up to 8 persons. It is has lovely views towards the mountains or the sea and is quietly located on the outskirts of the popular resort of Platanias in western Crete, a couple of kilometers from the center of the village.

Platanias has an excellent choice of cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, and nightlife, plus there are childrens parks and so much more. The charming 'old' village sits on the top of a hill offering stunning views of the area.

The long sandy beach is interrupted by a small picturesque port is generally very well organized with beach bars, sport facilities and places to relax and to have fun. It is also awarded with the Blue Flag award from the EU for several years. If you prefer something a bit quieter then Gerani is also very close in the opposite direction.

There is a good regular local bus service to Chania, the region's capital city which is only 13km away, from the main road just a few minutes walks away. It is a busy town with a cosmopolitan atmosphere and the Venetian harbor is a sight to behold with little fishing boats bobbing up and down on the water on the eastern side while the waterfront on the western side has an abundance of cafes and restaurants ranging from local to chic. Narrow, picturesque and charming little back streets with a splendid array of shops, boutiques, small cafes and tavernas leadoff behind the waterfront.

Theotokopoulou St. is one not to be missed with its characteristic Venetian buildings with ornate balconies. A visit to Chania should be near the top of any list of things to see and do whilst in the area.

The location makes an excellent starting point for exploring beautiful western Crete, especially as there is easy access to the national road, whether you are interested in sightseeing, archaeology, walking, diving, or simply relaxing and enjoying some of the wonderful beaches in the area. Scenic drives towards the White Mountains are also not to be missed.

The two storey inviting villa is modern and stylish with a décor of elegance with a relaxed, modern flair. It sits in an established colorful garden with flowerbeds, a lawn and a pool of which is beautifully lit in the evening by lights of three different colors.

Two double bedded rooms and a shared bathroom with a hydro-massage shower are on the upper floor. Both bedrooms have with fitted wardrobes and a plasma TV. One bedroom features a spacious balcony with table & chairs for four persons and the other has a small balcony.

The ground floor features a stylish open plan living/dining/kitchen area with a large window that overlooks the pool and garden. The living area has a fireplace, sofa, dining table and four chairs, a stool, and satellite TV. The modern fully equipped kitchen has a washing machine, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and breakfast bar. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with fitted wardrobes and a sofa bed that opens pulls out to make two single beds, and there is also a WC.

From the ground floor doors open to the walled garden, lawn, and pool area. The pool (22m²/depth approx 50cm-1.7mt) has walk-in steps and a sun terrace furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. A coffee table and a couple of chairs are provided as is an outdoor table and chairs so you can enjoy al fresco dining when you can also make use of the outdoor built-in BBQ and traditional wood oven.

Lower ground floor

Steps lead down from the living area to the lower level where there are two single beds (foldaway type beds with normal size mattresses) and a wardrobe and also a bathroom with a shower. This could be ideal for youngsters wanting a bit of independence as there is also a separate entrance to this level.
